Inspired by the relaxed elegance of coastal Italy, Bar Sprezzatura is an aperitivo and cicchetti bar in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District. In partnership with notable mixologist Carlo Splendorini, this new concept showcases Splendorini’s creative twist on the Italian classics as well as a variety of small plates including shellfish, crudo, tins, fritti, and focaccia. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, Bar Sprezzatura is the ideal gathering place for friends and colleagues alike and will be open Monday - Friday at One Maritime Plaza.

DEPARTMENT: Dining Room
SUPERVISOR: Cafe Manager, General Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW: Responsible for initial guest interaction at the door and welcoming all visitors to the restaurant and setting the tone for their experience. The Host is expected to embody the hospitality, charm, and professionalism of our organization. Duties include greeting & seating guests, answering phones, directing guests to bar, lounge, or restrooms, and maintaining the flow of service throughout the dining room. Must be pleasant, conscientious, and professional with excellent hospitality instincts & drive to provide customer service. Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team, communicate clearly, ensure smooth service operations and quality service.

A motivated hospitality professional who is organized, friendly, and passionate. You will be an integral part of our service team and the first point of contact for our guests. You are well-spoken and exude hospitality in person and on the phone. You have amazing attention to detail, work well as part of a team, work well under pressure, and have a strong desire to learn.
What you bring to the table:
- 1-3 years’ experience in a fine dining or casual fine dining high volume atmosphere
- Exceptional communication skills
- Experience working with Open Table, Seven Rooms, and register POS systems preferred
- Ability to learn and retain information quickly
- Intellectual curiosity
- Ability to work clean, organized, and as part of a team
- Ability to multi-task
- At least 16 years of age
- Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time
